17:54 - Sunday October 27 2013 Media coverage Martin Tasker's coverage on TV news last night - including interviews with two of the smallest boats in the fleet, proved that sailing - and the Coastal - are not just for the elite. Click here > Greg Pearson, sports journo for TV3, asked specifically to race up on a boat that was representative of real NZ sailing. We put him on the 42 foot Mr Roosevelt. Here's his awesome piece here. We are also very fortunate to have some excellent websites covering sailing: Stephen C has done a great job of bringing the race to life for a big cross section of boats, on the Crew.org.nz forums. LiveSailDie.com's captured a lot about our race, but the race through the eyes of one thirteen year old girl, is worth seeing. This girl really loves her sailing. Richard Gladwell was on the water for Sail-World.com and has a great selection of photos in his galleries, including the demasting of Stealth Mission. The NZ Herald has helped big time to make sure that sailing enthusiasts know about our race, and the local Northland newspapers - if you are in Russell you'll find them in the news stands - are great supporters in the build up and after the event, and always have been.
