Yachting New Zealand and the New Zealand Multihull Yacht Club are working together to make it easier for entrants of the PIC Coastal Classic to gain the necessary Cat 3 Safety Certification. On Saturday 29 September 2018 from 8.00am, YNZ are proposing to run a Cat 3 inspection day with an inspector available at Westhaven Marina. The cost of the inspection will be $150 (inc gst), saving boat owners an average of $100. The safety of everybody participating in the PIC Coastal Classic is very important to us, so this is just one step we are taking to make sure everybody is well prepared. If a boat fails the inspection on this day, it will go into the regular system and an inspector would need to be rebooked. Please note Yachting New Zealand require a minimum of 10 boats for this special price and dedicated day to go ahead.
